CHILDREN’S CAMP TREKKING AND CYCLING 2024

Program

Day 1. This day we will arrive around 11am at Godlevo. We will get to know each other through some games. Then we will talk about the most important safety measures when we are with the bike in the mountains. We will also talk about our expectations, the expectations of all the whole group. We will arrange and write the rules of our camp. We’ll settle in and play.

Day 2. This day we will make a relatively easy cycling tour to the village of Bachevo.

Day 3. The bike tour this day will be in the area of the village of Banya and the beautiful views of Pirin mountain.

Day 4. Our plan for this day will depend mostly on the fitness and wishes of the participants. We will do archery to practice our concentration. And of course we will have free games.

Day 5. The last day we will do our favorite Nomad Olympics. We hope that our participants will be convinced of the most important principle of the Olympics – participation! Finally, we will end with a general reflection from the camp, telling each other what we will take from these five days spent cycling. Then we leave for Sofia.

Note: Every day part of the group will have the opportunity to do a walking tour instead of a bike tour.

Cycling gloves – optional but recommended. They protect against calluses, and even when sweating, the palm has a better grip on the handle.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Where do the children spend the night?

The children are accommodated in the “Pripetsite” hotel in the village of Godlevo.

Where do the children eat?

Every day the children have three meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. On longer trek days, lunch is a dry pack.

Do they need pocket money?

Children need pocket money from very little pocket money as they are provided with three meals a day. Better not to carry valuables and phones because they can get lost or get wet.

How is the contact with the parents?

Contact with parents takes place once a day around dinner time 6-8pm.

What happens if the child gets sick during the camp?

If your child gets sick, we will call you first. As there are no facilities to look after a sick child, we will expect you to collect your child as soon as possible.

Is there a medical person?

There is no medical person in the team. Our instructors are first aid trained.

How long are the bike tours?

Depending on the age of the children, we prepare a more detailed program that is tailored to the age and capabilities of the children. On average, bike tours are between 2 and 5 hours.
